COACH'S REPORT:
EASTERN ZONE CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Congratulations to Andrew Allen, representing the New England team in the long course Eastern Zone Championships. Andrew finished with a fourth in the 100 Butterfly and sixth in the 50 Butterfly. He had best times in the 400 Freestyle and 200 Ind. Medley. He also competed in the 50 Backstroke, and 200 Freestyle, as well in the 200 and 400 Medley Relays and 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays with teammated from New England Swimming.
NEW ENGLAND OPEN:
Great meet! We brought our largest team to the meet this year! Dominic Ziolek wins "Swim of the Meet" for an outstanding 11 second drop in the 200 Breaststroke. Chris Giraldi qualified for the "B" Final, and the Men's 200 Free, 200 + 400 Medley Relays all scored points.
Swimming individually were: Lucas Pozzetta, Ian Will, Kendall Kaspar, Matt Grauslys, Giraldi, Dominic Ziolek, Paulina Ziolek, Whitney Powers, and Brianna Laliberte.

"PERFORMANCE OF THE MEET" goes to Andrew Allen. Andrew had three first place finishes, as we was the New England Champion in the 200 + 400 Freestyle, and the 100 Butterfly. Andrew added second places in the 50 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Back, and 200 IM. He added thirds in the 100 Back and 100 Free. Overall he finished in second place in the highpoint standings, accumulated the second highest amount of points for the 9-10 boys. Outstanding effort Andrew! He will represent the New England team in the Eastern Zone Championships, in Rockville, Maryland later this summer. Andrew becomes the first Executive swimmer to compete in the Zone Champs.!
Matthew Grauslys had a terrifc meet finishing in 11th place in the 100 Butterfly, with a time qualfiying him for next week's New England Open. He was also 12th in the 200 Butterfly. He teamed with Joe Moleksi, Grant Drukker and Alex Dimes as the boys were 7th in both the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays. Matthew also recored best times in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 200 Free, and 200 IM. Moleksi and Dimes each recorded best times while leading off their relay teams in the 100 Free and 100 Back, respectively.
Also competing individually were Emma Wagner (50 and 100 Free), Lindsey Wagner (50/100 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Back), Tess White (50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Fly), Colin Allen (50 back), Jona Glynn (50 Free, 50 Breast, 100 Back), Joe Moelski (50 Free), Grant Drukker (100 Breast), Brooke Carrobis (50 Free, 100 Breast), Molly Fitzpatrick (100 Breast), and Natalie Giraldi (100 Breast, 50 Free).
The Men's overall team finsihed in 9th place with 224 points, way to go!

"Swim of the Meet" goes to Whitney Powers for her 200 Fly. Whitney qualified for the Final, and once there dropped over seven seconds to finish in third place with a New England Open cut.
Other finalists included: McKenzie Johnson (200 Breast), Jamie Lutze (100 Back), Andrew Seo (100 Breast), Brianna Laliberte (50 Free), Matt Grauslys (100 Fly), Lucas Pozzetta (50 Free, 200 IM), Casey Delage (50 Free), and Ian Will (50 Free).
Emma Wagner (100 Free), Lindsey Wagner (50 Fly), Tess White (200 Free, 100 Fly) all made additional Age Group Cuts. Andrew Allen won 6 out of 6 events.
Best times were swam by: Christian Alvino, Zach Davenport, Rachael Desfosses, Grant Drukker, Kasey Gamache, Tracy Strong, Anthony Villiotti, and Tracy Strong.
Super job to swimmers competing in the long course Regional Championships over the weekend of July 9-11 at M.I.T.
McKenzie Donovan earned "SWIM OF THE MEET" for her 100 Freestyle, dropping eight seconds!
Andrew Allen finished the meet with 5 out of 6 wins and some super fast times. Other best times went to: Colin Allen ( -3 in 100 Free with improved breathing!), Christian Alvino (-2 in 50 Free), Rachael Desfosses (-5 in 200 Breast), Alex Dimes (-7 in 200 back), Kasey Gamache (-4 in 50 Free), Matthew Grauslys (-10 in 200 Fly), Jamie Lutze (-11 in 200 Free), Emma Nettleship (2 best times), Andrew Seo (-3 in 100 Breast), Morgan Stickney (3 best times), Tracy Strong (-1 in 100 Free), and Dominic Ziolek (-3 in 100 Breast).
